Asian MMA organization ONE Championship announced atomweight world champion Angela Lee’s (6-0-0) first title defence will be against Jenny Huang (5-0-0) at the company’s Mar.11 event ONE: Warrior Kingdom in Bangkok, Thailand.
The 20-year-old Lee won the belt in 2016 at ONE: Ascent to Power last May with an exciting win over Mei Yamaguchi.
“I am so excited for my first title defense!” Lee said in a ONE press release. “I had back to back fights leading up to the title fight, and after I won the belt I took some time off. The goal for 2017 is to be an active champion and to stay busy. I’m really looking forward to headlining the card in Bangkok, Thailand!”

The 25-year-old Huang is undefeated and will look to supplant Lee in much the same way Lee won the belt.
“I absolutely love the people and their culture,” Lee added. “I know that the crowd is gonna go crazy on fight night! Since my last fight, I’ve been training extremely hard, improving my skill set and I can’t wait to show everyone, come March 11th.
“I’ve been watching Jenny and have seen her last few fights. I think that this is going to be a great fight and it will be exciting for the fans to see how our styles match up.”
Huang is Taiwan’s first professional female fighter and impressed many with her Gogoplata submission win over April Osenio at ONE: Age of Domination last December.

The Ronda Rousey analysis continues and now it seems some fighters are coming to the defence of the former UFC bantamweight queen, namely Cat Zingano (9-2-0), who accused current champ Amanda Nunes of being disrespectful to Rousey.

Zingano stopped Nunes at UFC 178, but only after overcoming a furious start by Nunes. It would be interesting to see a rematch with the improvements Nunes has made.
It was interesting to hear what Joe Rogan and company thought of the fight and I thought they made some valid points.
See you next week!
