Busy weekend for female fighters. Let’s run it down.

Canadian Alexis Davis used her wrestling and striking to earn a unanimous decision win over upstart Cindy Dandois at UFC Fight Night 108 Saturday in Nashville.

Dandois was making her UFC debut and it was clear in the fight that her striking could use some improvement.

Davis capitalized using her striking and wrestling to control the bout.

The third round saw Dandois get the fight to the ground and land shots that scored her the round, but it was too late.

The judges scored it 29-28, 29-28, 29-28 for Davis.

Meanwhile, Danielle Taylor used her striking and takedown defence to earn a narrow unanimous decision win over Jessica Penne.

Taylor kept the fight standing for the most part and made the most her exchanges in the pocket. Penne held her own, but could not get the fight to the ground long enough to control the bout.

The judges scored it 29-28, 29-28, 29-29 for Taylor.

Undefeated Bellator flyweight Ilima-Lei-MacFarlane (6-0-0) continues to chug along. She defeated Jessica Middleton via first-round armbar at Bellator 178 in Connecticut.

MacFarlane is the favourite to become the division’s inaugural flyweight champion.

Meanwhile, at Combate Americas:

Who won?

And in Manila, at ONE FC: Kings of Destiny, Gina Iniong scored a 30-27, 30-27, 30-27 decision win over British Filipina’s Natalie Gonzales Hills.

Crossfire readers keeping score know we featured Gonzales Hills during Fight Week. Her Instagram shows she’s already back on the grind in Sydney, Australia, preparing for the next fight.
