Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from all of us here at MMA Crossfire!
We thought you might be interested on how the combat sports community are enjoying the Christmas Holidays.
Even the strictest fight camps should allow a little indulgence today.
Until then, have at it.
Kaufman: Over the holidays my routine doesn’t change too much. I’m still in the gym training 6 days a week as I want to be ready anytime a fight comes along, but I do spend some extra time with friends. There aren’t many things better than watching a classic movie (whether it’s the Sound of Music or Elf) with some good friends, food and of course in your pajamas!
Rhino also likes to join in the festivities so sometimes shows up in pajamas and other times, sweaters.
I hope everyone has a fantastic holiday!
Attwood: On Christmas Day, I’m having a vegetarian roast dinner at my parents house in Cheshire. I’ve been doing school talks non-stop, so I’m looking forward to the respite. I’ve just completed all of the final editing on my two books that are coming out early next year, Prison Time (February 13) and Lessons from a Drug Lord.
The latter is being published in March by Burman Books out of Canada, who chose the title to provoke controversy. It includes the 10 most important lesson I’ve learned in my life. Its contents range from Mafia anecdotes to Socratic dialogue. I’ve just finished watching Breaking Bad. The last episode brought tears to my eyes. I relate to the earlier decisions Walter White had to make. Now I’m considering writing a novel about a person who builds a crystal meth empire. I also have two biographies to finish. The first is that of Two Tonys an old-school Mafia murderer who left the corpses of rival gangsters from Tucson to Alaska and who protected me in prison. The second is that of T-Bone, a massive ex-Marine who used his fighting skills and risked his life to save vulnerable inmates from getting raped. My writing projects are endless and will keep me busy for another 10 years.
Clubb: I will be staying in Toronto over the holidays. Visiting family and friends and exchanging gifts, sharing a little bit of alcohol, good stories, good times with good friends and reflecting on the year that was.
I plan on a great 2014 with my Clubb Canada boxers who have winning their boxing bouts by way of TKO’s lately – so I am a very happy and a very proud boxing coach, looking to build on our success in 2014.
I will be in Windsor/ Detroit for New Years visiting my family for a few days and then returning to Toronto to commence further planning for the New Year!
In the meantime, I wish our MMA Crossfire followers and readers an amazing, fun and safe holiday. I wish you all a great 2014!
Note: Rogers cable (on channel 10 or 62 or in HD on channel 510) on Saturday, December 21st at 2:00 p.m. will be airing the amateur boxing card from last Sunday of my two Clubb Canada boxers, Louise “Little Pac-man” Reyes and Jeff Murley and their dominating TKO victories. Check it out!
Wiseman: I am spending Christmas spending it with family and my girlfriend. Then, I’m getting to the gym for a heavy chest/back workout. Gifts. Then back at the gym Boxing Day to try to help people get healthy at the end of this year and starting the New Year.
JAIME D: I am spending christmas with my family, i have a new 6-month old nephew who I love to pieces and we just found out my sister Jen is ezpecting once again! I hope its a girl! This New Years, I am heading to Hogans Beach in Tampa and will be celebrating the night with Hulk Hogan and the gang.
I am blessed for all the love I have surrounding me and I know 2014 will be my best year yet! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all!
