Former Invicta FC veteran and current UFC bantamweight contender Alexis Davis will battle current champion Ronda Rousey (9-0-0) for the title July 5th at UFC 175 in Las Vegas. And while Davis (16-5-0) is a legitimate contender with a 5-fight win streak, one has to feel for Cat Zingano.
A knee injury and rehab robbed her of her title shot and an Ultimate Fighter 18 pairing with Rousey at UFC 168.
Then, her then estranged husband Mauricio committed suicide in January at 37-years old.

But what is bad luck to Zingano, is good fortune to Davis.
Previously, UFC president Dana White entertained prospects of bringing back trailblazing fighter Gina Carano back if she decided to return.
Davis defeated Jessica Eye by split decision at UFC 170, while Rousey defeated Sara McMann by TKO at the same card.
