MMA Crossfire – UFC: MacDonald vs Saffiedine card official with 10 bouts

The first UFC card ever in eastern Canada is now official with 10 bouts scheduled and ticket prices confirmed.

UFC: MacDonald vs Saffiedine features the welterweight contender eliminator main event with Canada’s #2 Rory MacDonald (17-2-0) taking on #9 Tarec “The Sponge” Saffiedine (15-3-0).

The action takes place October 4th at the Halifax Metro Centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

TUF Nations middleweight winner Elias Theodorou (9-0-0) takes on Brazil’s Brunos Santos (14-1-0).

TUF Nations welterweight winner Chad Laprise (9-0-0) battles Yosdenis Cedeno (10-3-0) in a lightweight match.

In a bantamweight match, Sudbury’s Mitch Gagnon (11-2-0) takes on Uniondale, New York native Aljamain Sterling (10-0-0).

Montreal judo black belt Olivier Aubin-Mercier (6-1-0) fights Manhattan, Kansas lightweight Jake Lindsey (9-1-0).

Charlottetown, PEI’s Jason Saggo (10-1-0) welcomes Paul “The Irish Dragon” Felder (8-0-0) to the octagon.

Kelowna, British Columbia’s Matt Dwyer (7-1-0) makes his UFC welterweight debut against Fairfield, New Jersey’s Albert Tumenov (13-2-0).

#3 bantamweight Raphael Assuncao (21-4-0) fights #8 Bryan Caraway (19-7-0).

20-year-old Las Vegas strawweight Paige VanZant (3-1-0) will make history as the youngest UFC fighter when she steps into the octagon against Ewa Beach, Hawaii’s Kailin Curran (3-0-0).

Montreal’s Nordine Taleb (9-2-0) vs Chinese welterweight Li Jingliang (9-2-0).

Tickets are priced at $183, $133, $93, $58, and $48. Prices include tax and applicable service charges and are limited to 8 per person.

They go on sale August 22nd to the general public. UFC Fight Club members get first crack Wednesday August 20th beginning at 10am ADT with a 6-ticket-per-person limit.

UFC newsletter subscribers get pre-access Thursday August 22nd beginning at 10am ADT. Tickets are limited to eight per person.

The UFC pre-fight press conference for the event featuring east coast fighters TJ Grant (21-5-0) and Saggo is scheduled for August 19th at 11am ADT.

The Nova Scotia Sport Hall of Fame is the venue for the press conference.
