ANDREWS PREDICTION: MICHAEL CHIESA VIA TKO

WINNER: JOE LAUZON VIA TKO

Wiseman: What an insane fight!! It’s unfortunate that the fight had to be ended by the doctors, but realistically it was in Chiesa’s best interest. The cut that Lauzon opened up above the right eye of Chiesa was ridiculous. Much too big to continue. Fantastic aggression by Lauzon. Lauzon won via doctor stoppage.

MATT MITRIONE VS “THE BLACK BEAST” DERRICK LEWIS

ANDREWS PREDICTION: MATT MITRIONE VIA TKO

WINNER: MATT MITRIONE VIA TKO

Wiseman: What a huge finish for Mitrione! Seconds in the first round and Mitrione rocked Lewis, then swarmed on him for the TKO win. Quick and decisive. Exactly what Mitrione needed.

#7 ALISTAIR “THE REEM” OVEREEM  VS BEN ROTHWELL

ANDREWS PREDICTION: ALISTAIR OVEREEM VIA TKO

WINNER: BEN ROTHWELL VIA TKO

Wiseman: While Rothwell was the underdog it was clear what he wanted to happen from the start of the fight. Overeem was connecting with kicks, several perfectly placed strikes, but Rothwell just remained calm until he had the shot to end it. Rothwell rocked Overeem and just threw a flurry on him until the fight was stopped. Great showing by Rothwell against a #7 heavyweight.

MAIN EVENT

#4 RONALDO “JACARE” SOUZA VS #7 GERARD MOUSASI

ANDREWS PREDICTION: RONALDO SOUZA VIA TKO

WINNER: RONALDO SOUZA VIA SUBMISSION

Wiseman: It was all Souza from beginning to tap out. The power and grappling of Souza were just too much for Mousasi tonight. Souza outstruck Mousasi and when he wanted a takedown, he completed it. When on the mat, it was all Souza each time, really Mousasi just getting more dragged out with each passing second. Mousasi is a solid fighter, but his takedown defence will have to improve to make it through the top five of the division. Dominant  fight by Souza tonight, winning via submission.
