#4 UFC featherweight Conor McGregor said in an one-on-one interview with Inside MMA’s Ron Kruck that he will compete in a Jiu-Jitsu tournament before his title bout with champion Jose Aldo at UFC 189.
The Irish star will enter the European Open Jiu-Jitsu No-Gi Championships being held this April in Rome, Italy.
He also had more to say on Aldo.
Welcome back to The Crossfire.
McGregor will face Aldo July 11th in Las Vegas.
“That’s the one thing I don’t like about the date, that it’s so far away…. The ‘No-Gi Europeans’ are on in Rome in April, so I’m gonna go and compete in them just to keep busy because ideally I would like to fight again.”
