Your invitation to IMMAF’s Pan American Championships of Amateur MMA

Canadian MMA practitioners, here’s a grand opportunity to test your skills.

The Canadian Combat Alliance (CCA), an affiliate of the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF) issued an official invitation to the first International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF) Pan American Championships of Amateur MMA.

It will take place from April 10th – 12th in Vaughan, Ontario and will be broadcast via

Here’s how to participate.


It’s an open invitational tournament format, and includes contests for amateur MMA, youth and adult submission grappling, adult Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) and karate.  Finally, Muay Thai and kickboxing will also be featured.

“We are honored to be hosting the first ever IMMAF Pan American Championships of Amateur for the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation in Vaughan, Canada,” CCA representative Rohit Seth said.

Canada is a member country of the IMMAF, along with Brazil, USA and El Salvador.

The invitation is open to all athletes of Central America, South America, and the Caribbean.

“Working in unison with our Canadian family, UMMAF is dedicated to presenting the first IMMAF Pan American championships to the highest possible level, ” United States Mixed Martial Arts Federation president and IMMAF board member Frank Babcock said.  “This will be a historic event in the development of world recognized multi-day MMA tournaments under IMMAF. We are preparing for a martial arts extravaganza to include grappling, Brazilian jiu jitsu, kickboxing and more.The event will see Amateur MMA competitors from across two continents in the Western Hemisphere meet honorably in the cage.

“Our IMMAF Pan American championships are a major step forwards for the development of MMA for future Olympic recognition.”

Competitors eliminated from preliminary rounds of the Amateur MMA championships can enter the other competition disciplines at no further cost.

The tournament will be sanctioned by the Ontario Grappling Alliance (OGA), the local legal authority and a member of the CCA.

Provincially, the event will be sanctioned by the Ontario Grappling Alliance (OGA) which has legal authority in the region. The OGA is a member of the national committee, the Canadian Combat Alliance (CCA), which is affiliated to IMMAF.

In addition to broadcasting the tournament, will provide the management system necessary to handle the online registration, check-in, bracketing, operation, and event streaming
