MMA Crossfire – Jon Jones stripped of UFC light-heavyweight title, suspended indefinitely

The UFC announced Tuesday it has stripped Jon Jones of the UFC light-heavyweight strap and suspended him indefinitely.

Daniel Cormier will replace him at UFC 187 May 23rd to fight against #1 contender Anthony Johnson for the crown.

Jones did not enter a plea in court on April 28th. UFC president Dana White and CEO Lorenzo Fertitta travelled to Albuquerque to visit him.

It was reported today, that sponsor Reebok announced they dropped Jones from their roster today.

Jones was previously fined $25,000 by the UFC for failing a pre-UFC 182 drug test. He tested positive for cocaine metabolites.
