Two middleweights come to a crossroads in the main event at UFC Fight Night: Bisping vs Leites in Glasgow, Scotland.

Thales Leites (25-4-0) always been a competitive fighter, but had the frustrating knack for dominating, but not finishing opponents. But his current five-fight UFC winning streak has produced three consecutive finishes.

Meanwhile, Michael Bisping (26-7-0) remains undeterred in his aspirations to earn the elusive middleweight title shot he’s been looking for. Both fighters need a win to maintain their respective momentum towards the top-5.

STEVIE “BRAVEHEART” MURRAY (17-5-0) VS LEONARDO “MACARRAO” MAFRA (12-2-0)

UFC Glasgow
Stevie Ray vs Leonardo Mafra. Courtesy UFC/Zuffa LLC.

Andrews: Braveheart finished his debut fight, and will be amped by the home crowd to do the same here. Mafra is dangerous, but I think Murray takes the cake.

Andrews Prediction: Stevie “Braveheart” Murray via unanimous decision.

LEON “ROCKY” EDWARDS (9-2-0) VS PAWEL PAWLAK (11-1-0)

UFC Glasgow
Leon Edwards and Pawel Pawlak. Courtesy UFC/Zuffa LLC.

Andrews: Pawlak has nine finishes, but none in the UFC. As long as Edwards doesn’t underestimate Pawlak’s power, he should make BAMMA proud.

Andrews Prediction: Leon “Rocky” Edwards via TKO.

#9 JOANNE “JOJO” CALDERWOOD (9-1-0) VS CORTNEY CASEY (4-1-0)

Andrews: Maryna Moroz was a wakeup call for JoJo. This fight could indicate the progress of her ground game as well as her striking, which is already solid. Casey is making her debut, but has finished all of her four wins. It is head scratching why Calderwood isn’t fighting a ranked opponent, but to be fair who is going to step in on eight days notice? Fortunately, Casey stepped up, but JoJo gets the duke here.

Andrews Prediction: Joanne “JoJo” Calderwood via unanimous decision.

“IRISH” JOSEPH DUFFY (13-1-0) VS  IVAN JORGE (26-4-0)

UFC Glasgow
Joseph Duffy and Ivan Jorge. Courtesy UFC/Zuffa LLC.

Andrews: The last guy to beat Conor McGregor will need to keep the fight standing against the submission collector Jorge. The versatility of Duffy will be the key in getting his hand raised.

Andrews Prediction: Joseph Duffy via unanimous decision.

ROSS “THE REAL DEAL” PEARSON (19-8-0, 1NC) VS EVAN DUNHAM (15-6-0)

UFC Glasgow
Ross Pearson and Evan Dunham. Courtesy UFC/Zuffa LLC.

Andrews: Pearson put away a tough Sam Stout and seems to be near the top of his striking game. Dunham is as tough as they come, but has lost the majority of fights with the upper echelon of the division. Pearson collects another TKO.

Andrews Prediction: Ross “The Real Deal” Pearson via TKO.

MAIN EVENT

#9  MICHAEL “THE COUNT” BISPING (26-7-0) VS #10 THALES LEITES (25-4-0)

UFC Glasgow
Michael Bisping and Thales Leites. Courtesy UFC/Zuffa LLC.

Andrews: It’s no secret that Leites likes to set up strikes for his ground game. Bisping is solid on the feet and underrated on the ground, but can he keep the fight standing long enough? I think he can. Bisping ekes out a narrow decision.

Andrews Prediction: Michael “The Count” Bisping via unanimous decision.
