MMA Crossfire – Paramount Pictures secures film rights to Ronda Rousey and her book

According to a report from Variety, UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey will have her New York Times bestseller book My Fight/Your Fight produced into a film, with herself as the star.

Rousey and Mary Parent will produce the film.

No timetable has been released for the film.

The unbeaten Rousey recently defeated Bethe Correia at UFC 190 for her 12th victory. She is scheduled to fight #1 contender Miesha Tate for the third time and then film the movie Mile 22 in early 2016.

Rousey’s previous credits include The Expendables 3, The Fast and the Furious 7 and an episode of Entourage. She is the author of My Fight/Your Fight along with journalist Maria Burns Ortiz.
