Floyd Mayweather Jr. (49-0-0, 26 KOs) made history with a dominant unanimous decision win over Ander Berto (30-4-0, 23 KOs) in the last fight of his career at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
The P4P king once more made Berto, a former two-time champion look average baiting him often towards the ropes and landing his jab, right hand and left hooks.
Meanwhile, he frustrated Berto into missing combinations and then clinching him whenever he ventured too close for comfort.
It all added up to a 118-110, 117-111 and 120-108 victory for Mayweather Jr.
Welcome back to The Crossfire.
Mayweather earned a reported $32 million USD for the fight.
The monster stat was Mayweather landing a whopping 57% of his total punches (232 of 410) vs 17% for Berto (83 of 495).
MMA Crossfire Expert Kenai Andrews weighs in on the fight:
Mayweather was emotional afterwards in the ring, as he confirmed that the fight was his last.
There is still speculation that he will return to break the record he now shares with Rocky Marciano at 49-0-0.
Time will tell.
