Kelvin Gastelum (12-1-0)’s return to the welterweight division was on hold after #5th-ranked “The Immortal” Matt Brown (22-13-0) announced a late injury Tuesday that prevented him from fighting at the Latin America 2 version of the The Ultimate Fighter November 26th in Monterrey, Mexico.
However, 12th-ranked Neil Magny (16-5-0) stepped up on short notice to save the fight.
Welcome back to The Crossfire.
Gastelum is 4-1-0 at welterweight and is coming off a middleweight stoppage of Nate Marquardt at UFC 188.
Magny is coming off a split-decision upset win over Erick Silva.
