Albuquerque welcomes back its favourite daughter Holly Holm

New UFC women’s bantamweight champion Holly Holm was welcome back to her home town of Albuquerque, New Mexico in a big way yesterday.

Holm, who defeated Ronda Rousey for the belt at UFC 193 in Australia, was presented with several portraits of the bout and  spoke in front of a capacity crowd.

Holm has been on a victory tour of sorts since the victory, appearing on Good Morning America and other prominent media outlets to discuss the win.

UFC president Dana White recently confirmed that Holm’s next opponent will be a rematch with Rousey.

There’s been a lot of talk within the industry on the rematch.

Holm welcomed the rematch and continues to thank the fans for supporting her.
