Manny Pacquiao vs Timothy Bradley rubber match set for April 9th

It’s not Mayweather vs Pacquiao II, but another fighter that upset The Pacman will be back for a rubber match in the new year.

Timothy Bradley (33-1-1, 13 KOs), now 32, will battle the 37-year-old Manny Pacquiao (57-6-2, 38 KOs) in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

Many fight fans will remember Bradley’s controversial split-decision  win over Pacquiao back in 2012, a fight in which most experts had the fight easily for Pacquiao.

Top Rank promoter Bob Arum made the announcement today. Signed contracts are still pending.

Pacquiao went on to win a convincing decision win over Bradley in the 2014 rematch.

They tangled again in April 2014 at MGM Grand, with Pacquiao emerging with a deserved unanimous decision.

Bradley mentioned previously in interviews his desire to fight Pacquiao again. He stopped Brandon Rios in the ninth round under the watchful eye of trainer Teddy Atlas back in November.

Pacquiao dropped a unanimous decision loss to Floyd Mayweather in May. This will apparently be his last fight, although Arum is not so sure.
