Taleb vs Silva, Anderson vs Lawlor added to UFC 197

Canadian Nordine Taleb (10-3-0) will stand on guard against Brazilian Erick Silva (18-6-0, 1NC) while Corey Anderson (8-1-0) gets American Tom Lawlor (9-5-0, 1NC) at UFC 197.

Taleb, 34, gets a chance to break into the welterweight rankings with an impressive win. He’s looking to rebound from a submission loss to Warlley Alves back at UFC 190.

Silva is also trying to rebound from a split-decision loss to Neil Magny.

Anderson, who is ranked #13 in the light-heavyweight division and Lawlor both have two-fight win streaks. It’s wrestler-vs-wrestler, although Lawlor has many more finishes.

The main event features featherweight champion Conor McGregor challenging Rafael dos Anjos for the lightweight crown, while bantamweight queen Holly Holm defends against #2 Miesha Tate.

UFC 197 takes place, March 5th at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
