The #Bodybuilding Life – Paying respects
This journey we call life takes us on many pathways where we encounter different people for many different reasons.
Coming from a small island, I was very shy until I came to the United States and my uncle took me to my first gym where I saw people from all walks of life come together in one place with a common purpose.
From that day forward, I was hooked and began to come out of my shell and embark on my journey that brought so many amazing people into my life.
As an athlete growing up, I have fond memories and a special place in my heart for my teammates and those special coaches that took the time to invest in my future. But I’d like to take a moment and reflect over the last five years and those that have crossed my path as a bodybuilder.
You’ve heard me speak how inspiration and knowledge can be gained from anyone in an unexpected way. The same can be said for someone walking into your day and making an impact, even if just for that moment.
Each person we meet has something to bring to our lives, whether it be a lesson of what we don’t want or a shining example of what we want near us.
I have been extremely blessed to have some strong figures cross my path that played a role in shaping my journey, helping me to grow mentally, physically and emotionally.
Some of these people I may not speak to on a daily basis, but that does not diminish the importance they hold in where I stand today.
We have a choice to put our heads down and blindly plow forward through our lives and possibly missing out on all the positive things others can bring to our journey.
I highly encourage everyone to lift your head up, maintain your focus but also be open to accepting the blessings others can bring to you.
The pictures in this article today are some of the people that have touched my journey and I am a better person for it. If you have an example of how someone has touched your life, please reach out to me as I’d love to hear your story and share it.
