Silva vs Hall set for UFC 198

It will be striker vs the UFC’s all-time greatest striker at UFC 198.

The UFC announced yesterday TUF 17 finalist Uriah Hall (13-6-0) will face Anderson Silva (33-7-0, 1NC) at UFC 198.

The fight will take place in Silva’s hometown of Curitiba, Brazil.

Many fans feel Silva won his last fight, a controversial decision loss to Michael Bisping. It will be interesting to see if The Spider can focus more effectively on putting his opponent away than putting on a show for his country.

Like Bisping, who leapfrogged to #4 in the rankings, it’s a chance for the #10 Hall to crack the top-5 with an impressive performance. His last fight was a decision loss to Robert Whittaker at UFC 193.

UFC 198 takes place May 14th at the Arena da Baixada in Curitiba, Brazil.

Fabricio Werdum (20-5-1) defends his heavyweight belt against Stipe Miocic (14-2-0) in the main event, while Vitor Belfort (25-11-0) takes on Ronaldo Souza (22-4-0, 1NC).

Former light-heavyweight champion Mauricio Rua (23-10-0) takes on Corey Anderson (8-1-0) in a featured bout.
