Governor Cuomo signs New York MMA bill, UFC 205 announced for MSG Nov. 12th
Minutes after New York governor Andrew Cuomo signed the state’s first MMA bill legalizing mixed martial arts, the UFC announced the Empire State’s first octagon event and it will take place at The Mecca: Madison Square Garden.
November 12th will be the date for New Yorkers to save.

“Coming to New York, and speaking as a prideful New Yorker with a tad of New York arrogance, I think this really completes the journey for MMA because coming to New York means you’re coming to the place,” Governor Cuomo said at a press conference. “Madison Square Garden is the international icon for great sports events. And MMA is going to be in this Garden.
