Normally a strawweight, Batara enters the fight with a 13-inch height advantage, a two-fight win streak and will be dropping down to atomweight to welcome Silverio – who is on a 4-fight win streak – to the Combate cage.
American flyweights Paola Ramirez (0-1-0) and Amber Tackett (1-2-0) clash on the undercard. Tackett recently lost to Ilima-Lei MacFarlane at January’s Bellator 148 card.

Kaitlin Young (7-9-1) is now a matchmaker for Invicta FC. The company made the announcement last Friday.

“I’ve been on the other side of the table from Invicta as a fighter and I could not be more excited to join this organization,” said Young in an Invicta press release. “I have so much respect for Shannon and the goals she has for the company, each event, and every single athlete.
“I’m extremely anxious to dive right in and interact with some of these special athletes. If I can help guide them, help them achieve their dreams with Invicta, I’ll consider that a success. Plus, who doesn’t want to be responsible for making great fights? It’s truly a dream job.”
Young joins Julie Kedzie, who is planning to take some time away to pursue her education.

Congrats to Kaitlin. More experienced female matchmakers means more matches and ultimately better fights.
All three judges scored it 30-27.
Esparza had trouble with Lima’s Muay Thai, but used takedowns and her wrestling to overcome it. It was Esparza’s first fight since losing the belt to Joanna Jedrzejczyk last March.
