Brock Lesnar unsure on what his future holds

There was a lot on the line for former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar (6-3-0) at UFC 200. But now that he emerged with a unanimous decision win over Mark Hunt (12-11-1), he seems to have plenty of options on the table.

For now, he’s going to savour the moment and keep everyone guessing the way only Brock Lesnar can.

With a Coors Light, err, Bud Light.

“Well, let’s get one thing clear. Brock Lesnar does what Brock Lesnar wants to do,” he clarified at the post-fight press conference. “I believe that  my future is already laid out for the next month. I’m doing SummerSlam next month against Randy Orton. Once the dust settles there, I don’t know what I’m going to do. I had one hell of a time and I enjoyed myself, so  we’ll see what happens. I don’t know. It’s really way too soon guys. I have no idea.”

Lesnar’s performance wasn’t pretty. He was overly careful of Hunt’s striking and stayed on the outside for most of the fight looking for the counter or the takedown. But once the fight went to the ground, he showed flashes of the Brock of old.

Do I have some work to do? Absolutely. But don’t we all?

Lesnar was reportedly paid $2.5 million USD for the fight.  If he does continue his comeback, a rematch with Cain Velasquez – who defeated him at UFC 121 for the belt – could be in the cards.

“I haven’t had this much fun in a long time.”

In any case, it’s onward to WWE SummerSlam and a date with Randy Orton.
