She’s only 23-years-old, but BJJ world champion MacKenzie Dern (0-0-0) is ready to step into the cage. In four days, she makes her MMA debut in Lake Charles, Louisiana at Legacy FC 58.
She’ll be facing fellow rookie Kenia Rosas (0-0-0) at strawweight. Fight fans are wondering if she can successfully make the transition to mixed martial arts.
All eyes are on Dern. But in case you were wondering how the champ Amanda Nunes is doing:

It’s fight week!
Former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Holly Holm (10-1-0) returns to face rising star Valentina Shevchenko (12-2-0) this weekend at UFC on FOX 20 in Chicago. Holm is favoured to win, but there’s been so many upsets lately. This is a golden opportunity for the Bullet to make a name for herself.
Holm, who won the ESPN Espy Award for best upset of the year, is the bigger fighter with the reach and leg advantages.

It will be up to Shevchenko and her camp to figure out how to go about getting into range.
I’m sure Valentina will be prepared. The Windy City is a nice place to visit, but there is business to take care of.

Holm is looking to get back on track towards a rematch with the champion.
Felice Herrig (10-6-0), who hasn’t fought since April of 2015 in a loss to Paige VanZant, takes on Kailin Curran (4-2-0) at UFC on FOX 20. Curran is coming off a win or Emily Kagan at UFC Fight Night 80.

Curran will enjoy a slight 1-inch leg reach advantage. Everything else is pretty much identical.
