Both fighters are known for unpredictable striking, which could provide for an exciting feature bout.
Welcome back to The Crossfire.
In case you missed the weigh-ins:
Kenai Andrews runs it down;
MARYNA MOROZ (6-1-0) VS DANIELLE TAYLOR (7-1-0)
Andrews: Moroz will enjoy height, reach and experience advantages. Taylor has three finishes, so she will be dangerous, but you have to figure the experience and footwork of Moroz should see her through a game Taylor.
Andrews Prediction: Maryna Moroz via unanimous decision
TREVOR SMITH (13-6-0) VS JOE GIGLIOTTI (7-0-0)
Andrews: I liked how Gigliotti didn’t back down when Smith got in his face at the weigh-ins. Something tells me despite the size and reach disadvantage, Joe is going to knock Smith’s block off.
Andrews Prediction: Joe Gigliotti via TKO
SANTIAGO PONZINIBBIO (23-3-0) VS ZAK CUMMINGS (19-4-0)
Andrews: Santiago is an aggressive fighter and he go after Cummings from the start. Cummings will likely try to wear out Santiago on the ground and for the tap. I see Santiago catching Zak with a strike before that happens.
Andrews Prediction; Santiago Ponzinibbio via TKO
#12 THALES LEITES (25-6-0) VS CHRIS CAMOZZI (24-10-0)
Andrews: Leites has looked a bit lacklustre in his last two defeats, albeit against the top competition in the division. Camozzi will have to set the tone early and if he can do that, can get the decision. On paper Leites wins, but I think Camozzi will take advantage of the lacklustre cloud over Thales.
Andrews Predictions: Chris Camozzi via unanimous decision
#8 DENNIS BERMUDEZ (16-5-0) VS RONY JASON (14-5-0, 1NC)
Andrews: This should be a good scrap. Bermudez gas tank is the big question mark. It’s a three round fight so, if he goes and keeps it on the feet, he should be able to get the decision. Bermudez is Jason’s toughest competition yet. He’s got to get the fight to the ground and quickly. Bermudez should reign supreme.
Andrews Prediction: Dennis Bermudez via TKO
#13 YAIR RODRIGUEZ (8-1-0) VS ALEX CACERES (12-8-0, 1NC)
Andrews: Both guys have dynamic striking, but Rodriguez is the more disciplined fighter. Caceres almost threw away his last fight in the last round and against top competition, tends to wilt. Rodriguez seems to rise to the occassion. As long as the fight stays standing, I have to go with Pantera.
Andrews Prediction: Yair Rodriguez via unanimous decision
