Rio 2016: Canada’s Mandy Bujold moves on to quarterfinals

Canadian female flyweight boxer Mandy Bujold scored a unanimous decision victory today over Uzbekistan’s Yodgoroy Mirzaeva  in her Round of 16 matchup at Rio 2016.

MMA Crossfire Vault: Canadian Olympic boxing team predictions

Bujold’s next bout is August 16th at 10AM ET.

The Kitchener, Ontario native is a nine-time national champion and a gold medalist at the 2011 Pan An Games.

Bujold’s teammate, male light welterweight Arthur Biyarslanov, won his opening bout 3-0 over Jordan’s Obada Alkabeh.

Quebec’s Ariane Fortin, is scheduled to begin her tourney Sunday at 10AM ET.
