It’s official. Rory MacDonald (18-4-0) is now signed with Bellator MMA.
The announcement was made during the Bellator 160 show Friday evening.
MacDonald, 27, is immediately expected to contend for Bellator’s welterweight crown, currently held by Russian Andrey Koreshkov.
Welcome back to The Crossfire.
MacDonald explained on the broadcast that Bellator’s offer was simple one that “no company in the world could offer.”
In the UFC, MacDonald was a consistent contender to the welterweight belt, but was defeated by then champion Robbie Lawler in a classic bout at UFC 189.
