UFC and DAZN announce multi-year digital partnership agreement

The UFC announced yesterday a digital media agreement with U.K. company Perform Group‘s over-the-top (OTT) content arm, DAZN.

The agreement partners the two companies together to provide Japanese fight fans online live-streaming access to UFC events  through DAZN – starting with UFC 203 – and other original programming such as the The Ultimate Fighter.

The UFC digital package is available to subscribers for a monthly fee of 1750 JPY, excluding taxes.

“We are excited to announce our deal with DAZN and to be part of its launch in Japan,” executive vice-president and UFC Asia general manager Ken Berger said in a press release. “The new platform will give Japanese kakutogi fans extensive live access to the best MMA content in the world.”

“At DAZN we’re dedicated to giving Japanese sports fans even more access to leading domestic and international sports, which is why we’re delighted to partner with UFC,” added Takashi Nakamura, president and managing director of DAZN Japan. “Our partnership means UFC fans will be able to access the sport they love across the devices they own, all for one affordable monthly price.”

DAZN is currently available in Japan, Australia, and Germany.
