GODOFREDO PEPEY VS MIKE DE LA TORRE
WINNER: GODOFREDO PEPEY VIA SUBMISSION R1 3:03
WISEMAN PREDICTION: GODOFREDO PEPEY VIA SUBMISSION
Wiseman: Pepey started things off with a spinning back kick to the head that rocked Torre. He tried to stay in things, but Pepey really didn’t leave him alone for a second. Pepey secured the back and clamped in a rear-naked choke for the win.
#15 THIAGO SANTOS VS ERIC SPICELY
WINNER: ERIC SPICELY VIA SUBMISSION R1 2:58
WISEMAN PREDICTION: THIAGO SANTOS VIA TKO
Wiseman: Talk about the importance of game plans. Spicely was a huge under dog in the match, but he started with things right away with takedowns and the ground game. Eric didn’t allow allow Santos to get his striking going at all. He stayed focused and kept that game plan under he got the rear naked choke. Smart.
FRANCISCO TRINALDO VS PAUL FELDER
WINNER: FRANCISCO TRINALDO VIA TKO R3 2:25
WISEMAN PREDICTION: PAUL FELDER VIA UNANIMOUS DECISION
Wiseman: While the gas tank of Trinaldo has been questioned before, if he can dictate the pace, he is fine. We saw exactly that tonight. Felder was doing well, but it was more defensive that getting his own game plan going. The final round ended because of a cut over the right eye of Felder that was opened up in the second round. A doctor stoppage. Always disappointing to see a fighter go out like that, but just speaks to the power of Trinaldo.
#11 ROY NELSON VS #15 ANTONIO SILVA
WINNER: ROY NELSON VIA TKO R2 4:10
WISEMAN PREDICTION: ROY NELSON VIA TKO
Wiseman: Silva came out using kicks, which was smart. The problem is that he stopped doing that and started to drop his hands opening up things for the big right that Nelson has. Nelson rocked Silva in the second round and was hammering him, but the ref didn’t step in. Nelson looked at the ref, then it was stopped. Unnecessary damage.
RENAN BARAO VS PHILIPPE NOVER
WINNER: RENAN BARAO VIA UNANIMOUS DECISION (29-28, 29-28, 30-27)
WISEMAN PREDICTION: RENAN BARAO VIA UNANIMOUS DECISION
Wiseman: This was a standing battle. Nover was a little hesitant in the beginning. The first round was just a timing round, but Barao started to step things up as the fight went on. He was connecting more and added takedowns at the end of the second and third rounds. Nover started to push more in the final round, but Barao was more technical tonight.
CRIS CYBORG VS LINA LANSBERG
WINNER: CRIS CYBORG VIA TKO R2 2:29
WISEMAN PREDICTION: CRIS CYBORG VIA TKO
Wiseman: Cyborg completely dominated from beginning to end. Lansberg never got anything going because she tried to just hold on and weather a storm. Not a plan anyone should have against Cyborg. Cyborg toyed with her for a round then just killed her and rearranged her face in the second.
