UFC No. 5 featherweight Cub Swanson (23-7-0) will welcome South Korean sensation Dooho Choi (14-1-0) to Toronto.
Choi, currently ranked No. 13, has a chance to leapfrog into the upper rankings with an impressive win Dec. 10.
Welcome back to The Crossfire.
“The Korean Superboy” is on fire with a 12-fight win streak, including an impressive TKO of Thiago Tavares at the TUF 23 Finale.
Swanson will look to build on two decision victories.
One thing to note is that the bout was not announced as the main event. According to UFC general manager for Canadian operations Tom Wright, efforts were being made to land Georges St-Pierre, but nothing has worked out thus far.
This rematch with Johnson will be Cormier’s second defence. In the first bout at UFC 187, Cormier claimed the belt with a submission win.
