The UFC announced yesterday 37-year-old former light heavyweight champion Rashad Evans (19-5-1) was removed from New York’s UFC 205 card due to a medical issue.
Evans was supposed to fight middleweight Tim Kennedy (18-5-0).

Currently, there are no plans for a replacement bout.

The UFC released a statement yesterday on their website.
“The UFC organization was notified today that the New York State Athletic Commission has denied Rashad Evans a license to compete at UFC 205 due to a medical issue. Evans’ scheduled bout against Tim Kennedy this coming Saturday, November 12 in New York, will be removed from the fight card. However, both athletes will receive their show money. There are currently no plans to replace this bout.”
UFC 205 takes place Saturday, Nov. 12 at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
