Gegard Mousasi got what he was looking for at UFC Belfast.
Frustrated over a previous loss to Hall, he thought he should have own, Mousasi stopped Uriah Hall in the first round after getting the fight to the ground.
Hall tried to threaten with his patented kicks, but the savvy Mousasi simply calculated for his opportunity, and late in the first frame, he struck.

ARTEM LOBOV VS TERUTO ISHIHARA
WINNER: ARTEM LOBOV VIA UNANMIOUS DECISION (30-27, 30-27, 29-28)
ANDREWS PREDICTION: TERUTO ISHIHARA VIA UNANIMOUS DECISION
Andrews: Lobov kept the pressure on Ishihara and Teruto could not capitalize until late int he third round. Plus, Ishihara while he took some good shots, took way too many and gassed. Good performance for Lobov to make Ishihara forget about the takedown.
#14 TIMOTHY JOHNSON VS ALEXANDER YOLKOV
WINNER: ALEXANDER VOLKOV (28-29, 30-27, 29-28)
ANDREWS PREDICTION: ALEXANDER YOLKOV VIA UNANIMOUS DECISION
Andrews: I actually thought Johnson won the fight. Johnson landed the bigger shots. But the stats are much closer. Volkov: 45/84 signifcant strikes for 54%, Johnson: 43/93 significant strikes for 46%. And Johnson did slow down in the third round.
ROSS PEARSON VS STEVIE RAY
WINNER: STEVIE RAY VIA SPLIT-DECISION (27-30, 30-27, 30-27)
ANDREWS PREDICTION: STEVIE RAY VIA UNANIMOUS DECISION
Andrews: Ray used good footwork to outstrike Pearson and the writing just might be on the wall for Ross. He didn’t fight that badly, but he got outstruck.
#5 GEGARD MOUSASI VS #10 URIAH HALL
WINNER: GEGARD MOUSASI VIA TKO R1 4:37
ANDREWS PREDICTION: GEGARD MOUSASI VIA SUBMISSION
Andrews: Mousasi was much more methodical this time, secured the takedown and then reigned down shots that forced Marc Goddard to call the bout. Excellent win for Mousasi.
