Emelianenko’s first bout will be against former NFL player and UFC heavyweight Matt Mitrione (11-5-0) at Bellator 172 Feb. 18 in San Jose, California.

“It’s great to be back in business with Fedor,” Coker said in a Bellator press release. “The man is a legend both inside and outside of the cage and I’m elated to bring him back Stateside for the American MMA fans to witness him fight Matt Mitrione in San Jose. He and I go quite aways back, and I look forward to continuing to build our partnership here in Bellator MMA.”

Fedor, 40, previously worked with Coker in the now defunct Strikeforce promotion.

Mitrione, 38, is undefeated in two bouts since joining Bellator.
