Manny Pacquiao and Amir Khan agree to fight April 23

WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao (59-6-2, 38, KOs) will fight former 2004 Olympic silver lightweight medalist Amir Khan (31-4-0, 19, KOs) April 23.

The bout was confirmed on social media by both fighters, after Pacquiao Twitter followers voted Khan in a poll as Pacquiao’s next opponent.

According to Khan, the U.K, U.S. and Dubai are being considered for possible venue locations.

After retiring after defeating Timothy Bradley in April 2016, Pacquaio returned to win the WBO belt from Jessie Vargas last November.

Many fans hope that despite his 38 years of age, Pacquiao can turn back the clock one more time with a vintage performance.

Khan, who was knocked out by Canelo Alvarez in May 2016, and should not have motivation problems to rebound.

Terms were not released.
