Invicta FC bantamweight champion Tonya Evinger (19-5-0, 1NC) will move up to featherweight and welcome undefeated Ukrainian Helena Kolesnyk (5-0-0, 1NC) to the cage at Invicta FC 24 July 15.
Previously, former featherweight champ Megan Anderson was originally scheduled to face Kolesnyk, but her opportunity to fight for the UFC’s featherweight belt with Cristiane “Cyborg” Justino at UFC 214 created a vacancy, both for the 145-pound crown and Invicta FC 24’s main event slot.
The matchup is a three-round, non-title affair.
The 36-year-old Evinger has proved dominant as the company’s bantamweight champion, defeating Yana Kunitskaya at Invicta FC 22, part of an 11-fight unbeaten streak.
