Canadian women’s bantamweight fighter Sarah Moras (4-2-0) has launched a GoFundMe drive to pay for training expenses for her upcoming UFC 215 bout with No.15 American Ashlee Evans-Smith (5-2-0).

Moras, a native of Chilliwack, B.C., is an 11-year veteran who competed on Season 18 of The Ultimate Fighter. She explained she wants to be top physical condition for her Sept. 9 bout which takes place in Edmonton.

“I want to compete and be the best fighter I can be and I can’t do it alone,” the 29-year-old “Cheesecake” said on her GoFundMe page. “In order to do that I need to be able to train full-time without work a second job to pay my living expenses (rent, phone, food, and nutritional supplements). I also want to be able to make sure that my body is in the best shape and condition it can be in, and therefore I will need to pay for strength and conditioning, and forms of recovery and rehabilitation for minor injuries that occur during a fight camp.”

The drive has raised $2,790 as of this writing and since being created July 13, with a goal of $10,000.

Moras’ last fight was a unanimous decision loss to Jessica Andrade at UFC Fight Night 71 in July 2015.
