UFC Fight Night 116: Luke Rockhold returns against David Branch

The UFC announced during UFC on FOX 25 that former middleweight champion Luke Rockhold (15-3-0), will return from injury at Pittsburgh’s UFC Fight Night 116 against former WSOF light heavyweight champion David Branch (21-3-0).

Rockhold lost the middleweight belt to Michael Bisping in his last fight at UFC 199. Meanwhile, Branch won his promotional debut via split-decision against Kryzsztof Jotko at UFC 211.

UFC Fight Night 116 is scheduled for Sept. 16 in Pittsburgh’s PPG Paints Arena.

The card currently includes:

Daniel Spitz (5-1-0) vs Anthony Hamilton (15-7-0)

Thiago Alves (22-11-0) vs Mike Perry (10-1-0)

Hector Lombard (34-7-1, 2NC) vs Anthony Smith (27-12-0)

Kamaru Usman (10-1-0) vs Sergio Moraes (12-2-1)

Justin Ledet (8-0-0) vs Dmitriy Sosnovskiy (10-0-0)

More bouts are expected to be announced.
