Sao Paulo’s UFC Fight Night 119 will feature the return of The Dragon.
Lyoto Machida (22-7-0), currently serving an 18-month USADA suspension for admitting to taking a banned substance will return to competition Oct. 28 at UFC Fight Night 119 against No.7 Derek Brunson (17-5-0) in the main event.
Machida has tumbled out of the UFC rankings since his suspension and at 39 years old, is in the twilight of his career. He has three losses in his last four fights, including a KO loss to Yoel Romero at UFC Fight Night 70 in June 2015. He could make a return with an impressive victory in Sao Paulo.
Brunson recently returned to the win column against Dan Kelly at UFC Fight Night 110 in June.
UFC Fight Night 110 is scheduled for Oct. 28 at the Ginasio do Ibirapuera venue in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
