The UFC is in Poland this weekend as English up-and-comer Darren Till tries to knock off veteran “Cowboy” Donald Cerrone in the main event.
Kenai Andrews checks in with his thoughts on the main card matchups.
MAIN CARD (3PM ET/12 PM PT FIGHT NETWORK & UFC FIGHT PASS)
OSKAR PIECHOTA (9-0-0) VS. JONATHAN WILSON (7-2-0)
Andrews: Wilson obviously has the UFC experience advantage but is on a two-fight losing streak. I’m going with the Polish sensation to thrill the crowd with another finish.
Andrews Prediction: Oskar Piechota via TKO
JAN BLACHOWICZ (19-7-0) VS. DEVIN CLARK (8-1-0)
Andrews: Look for Clark to learn from his previous bout and put the boots to Blachowicz. It might take a few shots though.
Andrews Prediction: Devin Clark via TKO
#3 KAROLINA KOWALKIEWICZ (10-2-0) VS. JODIE ESQUIBEL (6-2-0)
Andrews: Esquibel is a good wrestler, but she is fighting the long flight and the UFC jitters too. Kowalkiewicz’s standup should hold up for another decision win.
Andrews Prediction:
MAIN EVENT
#6 DONALD CERRONE (32-9-0, 1NC) VS. DARREN TILL (15-0-1)
Andrews: Till is a good kickboxer, but everyone knows the ground is his weakness. Cerrone can finish the fight standing or on the mat and unless Till can summon thunder in those hands, Cerrone is going walk out the winner.
Andrews Prediction: Donald Cerrone via TKO
