UFC 219: Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Edson Barboza added

A top-5 lightweight battle was added to UFC 219 today as No.2 Khabib Nurmagomedov (24-0-0) will take on No. 3 Edson Barboza (19-4-0).

 “The Eagle,” 29, has been plagued with injuries and weight-cutting issues, with his last fight in the octagon a dominant submission win over Michael Johnson at UFC 205 in November 2016.

Barboza, 31, has rebounded from a loss to Tony Ferguson with three consecutive victories.

UFC 219 is scheduled for Dec. 30 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The current card includes:

Kamaru Usman (11-1-0) vs. Emil Weber Meek (9-2-1)
