New Zealand’s favourite fighting son No.5 Mark Hunt (13-11-1, 1NC) will return to the comfortable confines of Perth, Australia to battle up-and-coming heavyweight No. 9 Curtis Blaydes (9-1-0, 1NC) at UFC 221 in February.
Since being stopped by Francis Ngannou at UFC Fight Night 66, Blaydes, 26, has rattled off three wins in his last four contests, with one no-contest. His last bout was a TKO stoppage of Alexey Oleynik at UFC 217 in November.
Meanwhile, the 43-year-old Hunt put away Derrick Lewis at UFC Fight Night 110 in June.
UFC 221 is scheduled for Feb. 10 in Perth, Australia. Current bouts include:
