UFC Fight Night 126: Donald Cerrone vs. Yancy Medeiros set for main event

Austin’s UFC Fight Night 126 will be headlined by a welterweight bout featuring contenders No. 10 Donald Cerrone (32-10-0, 1NC) and No. 15 Yancy Medeiros (15-4-0, 1NC).

The fight was first reported by MMAFighting.com. MMAJunkie has since confirmed the matchup with a UFC official, but the company has not officially confirmed any details as of this writing.

Cerrone, 34, is in danger of being on the bubble with a three fight losing skid going into Austin. His intentions of returning to lightweight seems to be delayed for now.

Meanwhile, Medeiros, 30, is coming off an impressive win over another Cowboy, Alex Oliveira, at UFC 218 earlier this month. The win is part of a current three-fight win streak.

UFC Fight Night 126 is scheduled for Feb. 18 at the Frank Erwin Center in Austin, Texas. Current bouts include:

Donald Cerrone (32-10-0, 1NC) vs. Yancy Mederios (15-4-0, 1NC)

Derrick Lewis (18-5-0) vs. Marcin Tybura (16-3-0)

Ray Borg (11-3-0) vs. Brandon Moreno (14-4-0)

Tonya Evinger (19-6-0, 1NC) vs. Marion Reneau (8-3-1)

Sage Northcutt (9-2-0) vs. Thibault Gouti (12-3-0)

More bouts are expected to be announced.
