UFC on FOX 28: Sara McMann rebooked to face Marion Reneau

Former Olympic silver medalist No. 8 Sara McMann (11-4-0) was scheduled to welcome Invicta FC bantamweight champion Yana Kunitskaya (10-3-0, 1NC) to the octagon at Orlando’s UFC on FOX 28 card in late February. But an injury to Tonya Evinger has McMann facing her UFC Fight Night 126 opponent, Marion Reneau (8-3-1) instead.

These changes appear to leave Kunitskaya without an opponent. The UFC has not yet officially confirmed the changes, but Reneau did confirm her new opponent via a tweet on her Twitter account.

McMann, 37, is trying to return to the win column after losing a surprise stoppage to Ketlen Vieira at UFC 215 in September.

This will be the third fight of 2017 for the 40-year-old Reneau, who stopped Talita Bernado in her last bout at UFC Fight Night 115 in September. She is 1-0-1 thus far this year.

UFC on FOX 28 is scheduled for Feb. 24 at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida.

Current bouts include:

Yoel Romero (12-2-0) vs. David Branch (21-4-0)

Jessica Andrade (17-5-0) vs. Tecia Torres (10-1-0)

Alan Jouban (15-6-0) vs. Ben Saunders (21-8-2)
