UFC Fight Night 124: Stephens vs. Choi predictions

It’s been quite a Fight Week for for St. Louis.

Besides the co-main event being cancelled and Zak Cummings pulling out, one fighter also missed weight at the weigh-ins today.

But, UFC Fight Night 124 soldiers on.

Kenai Andrews checks in with his thoughts on the main card.

TSN 5 MAIN CARD (10PM ET/7PM PT)

#10 KAMARU USMAN (11-1-0) VS. EMIL MEEK (9-2-1, 1NC)

UFC Fight Night 124

Andrews: Usman has pushed through every challenger so far but Meek will prove to be his toughed opponent yet. This will be a tougher bout, but I expect the “Nigerian Nightmare” to take a close decision.

Andrews Prediction: Kamara Usman via UD

PAIGE VANZANT (7-3-0) VS. JESSICA ROSE-CLARK (8-4-0, 1NC)

UFC Fight Night 124

Andrews: VanZant hasn’t fought in over a year and now finds herself unranked. Meanwhile, Rose-Clark took a pair of split-decisions wins in 2017. I still expect VanZant to make Team Alpha Male proud tomorrow night.

Andrews Prediction: Paige VanZant via UD

MAIN EVENT

#9 JEREMY STEPHENS (26-14-0) VS. DOOHO CHOI (14-2-0)

UFC Fight Night 124

Andrews: Big fight potential here. Choi has proven he can take a punch but can he stop the takedown? Stephens has more ways to win and he isn’t shy about taking the fight to the ground if he isn’t faring well on the feet. I have to go with the experience of Stephens.

Andrews Prediction: Jeremy Stephens via UD
