The UFC announced today that injured lightweight Bobby Green (24-8-1) will be replaced by Alexander “The Great” Hernandez (19-4-0) at March’s UFC 222 in Las Vegas.
Green bounced back from three consecutive losses with a draw and a victory at UFC on FOX 27 in late January over Erik Koch. The early turnaround proved to be too much.
Perez, 25, jumped from the Dana White Contender Series and won his UFC debut at UFC Fight Night 123 in December 2017.
“The Great” will face No.11 Beneil Dariush (14-3-1), 28, who drew with Evan Dunham at UFC 216 in October.
