UFC blue-chipper strawweight Mackenzie Dern (6-0-0), fresh off a razor-close split-deicison win over Ashley Yoder at UFC 222, will return to the octagon at Rio de Janeiro’s UFC 224 against former TUF 23 participant Amanda Cooper (3-3-0).

The matchup was first reported by MMA Brasil.

Dern, 23, entered MMA and the UFC with much fanfare as a multiple BJJ world champion. She has yet to taste defeat in six fights in the cage, but has yet to consistently dominate the way she did in Jiu-Jitsu. She wanted a quick fight and the UFC granted her request.

Cooper, 30, is looking forward to playing the spoiler. “ABC” put away Angela Magana in her last fight at UFC 218 in December 2017. She has split her four fights in the octagon.

UFC 224 is scheduled for May 12 at the Jeunesse Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Other bouts include:

Amanda Nunes (15-4-0) vs. Raquel Pennington (9-5-0)

Vitor Belfort (26-13-0) vs. Lyoto Machida (23-8-0)

John Lineker (30-8-0) vs. Brian Kelleher (19-8-0)

Ronaldo Souza (25-5-0) vs. Kelvin Gastelum (14-3-0)

Davi Ramos (7-2-0) vs. Nick Heinz (14-2-0)

Alberto Mina (13-0-0) vs. Ramazan Emeev (16-3-0)

Alexey Oleynik (55-11-1) vs. Junior Albini (14-3-0)

Mackenzie Dern (6-0-0) vs. Amanda Cooper (3-3-0)

Cezar Ferreira (12-6-0) vs. Karl Roberson (6-0-0)

Thales Leites (27-8-0) vs. Jack Hermansson (16-4-0)

Volkan Oezdemir (15-2-0) vs. Glover Teixeira (27-6-0)
