The UFC announced today a multi-year partnership deal with Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) wagering company Parimatch.
The agreement makes Parimatch the “official betting and wagering partner of UFC,” across the Europe, Middle East and African regions (EMEA) excluding the United Kingdom (U.K.) and Ireland, according to a company press release.
“We are thrilled to be in business with Parimatch, a global brand that has grown from a small firm to one of the world’s largest international gaming networks in just a few short decades,” said UFC vice president of international marketing partnerships Rene Valencia said. “We look forward to working with Parimatch as we continue to grow our brand and the sport of MMA around the world.”
Parimatch is the first wagering company to partner with the UFC.
“Partnering with UFC is a massive for our holding ad for the continued growth of mixed martial arts as a whole,” added Parimatch general manager Sergei Portnov. “Our cooperation will mean that the Parimatch brand can infuse with the DNA of mixed martial arts in several countries and regions at once. On September 15, UFC will hold its first event in Russia and it will be a great showcase for our new collaboration.”
The UFC will hold UFC Fight Night 136 at the Olimpiyskiy Arena in Moscow on September 15. The entire card has not been revealed yet, but early matches indicate Andrei Arlovski vs. Shamil Abdurakhimov and Omari Akhmedov vs. CB Dolloway.
Parimatch is expected to be a presenting sponsor at the event.
