UFC GYM sets expansion sights on Japan in 2019

Japan is the next country UFC GYM intends to expand into in 2019, the company announced today.

Already established with more than 150 locations in North America and pockets of Central America (Mexico), South America (Chile), Asia and South Asia (Singapore, Taiwan, Philippines, India, Taiwan, Vietnam), United Kingdom, and the Middle East (Oman, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates) since 2009, the company intends to launch 20 locations in Japan beginning next year.

“We are thrilled to announce the addition of Japan to the UFC GYM family,” president Adam Sedlack said. “The overall passion for sports, entertainment and fitness is strong in Japan, and we believe this market will be a perfect fit for our ‘Train Different’ philosophy.”

Several current and former UFC fighters own or co-own a gym, including Michael Bisping, B.J. Penn, and Cub Swanson,as well as former baseball star Alex Rodriguez.
