UFC 227: Bethe Correia pulls out with injury

UFC 227 will proceed Saturday without Bethe Correia (10-3-1) and Irene Aldana (8-4-0).

The company announced yesterday that an injury has sidelined the No.10 women’s bantamweight. The fight will not be replaced.

The two were originally supposed to meet in January, but an injury to Correia postponed that fight as well. Aldana went on to fight Talita Bernado, taking a unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 124.

The main event remains a bantamweight title rematch with T.J. Dillashaw (15-3-0) defending against former champ Cody Garbandt (11-1-0), while flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson (27-2-1) takes on Olympic gold medalist Henry Cejudo (12-2-0).
