UFC 230: Dustin Poirier to face Nate Diaz

UFC president Dana White announced at the 25th anniversary press conference today at No.3 lightweight Dustin Poirier (24-5-0, 1NC) will take on No. 10 Nate Diaz (19-11-0) at UFC 230

Diaz, 33, hasn’t fought in almost two years, losing to Conor McGregor in a memorable rematch in August 2016. A lawsuit against him filed by his ex-manager was dismissed in February.

Poirier, 29, is coming off a TKO win over Eddie Alvarez at UFC on FOX 30 last Saturday. He’s 4-0-0 with a no-contest in his last five fights.

UFC 230 is set for November 3 at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Other scheduled matches include:

Yoel Romero (13-3-0) vs. Paulo Costa (12-0-0)

Dustin Poirier (24-5-0, 1NC) vs. Nate Diaz (19-11-0)

Derek Brunson (18-6-0) vs. Israel Adesanya (14-0-0)

Chris Weidman (14-3-0) vs. Luke Rockhold (16-4-0)

Ronaldo Souza (25-6-0) vs. David Branch (22-4-0)
