Heather Hardy to rematch Shelly Vincent for WBO featherweight title

Bellator flyweight Heather Hardy (2-1-0, 21-0-0 boxing) will return to her boxing roots and take on Shelly Vincent (23-1-0, 1KO) Oct. 27 at the Madison Square Garden Hulu Theatre in New York City.

“The Heat,” 36, is unbeaten in 21 fights as a boxer. with four knockouts and a no-contest. She won a majority decision over Vincent in 2016 in their first encounter. She has fought both in the cage and in the ring since, earning a decision win over Ana Julaton at Bellator 194 in February 2017 with another decision over Iranda Paulo Torres in April to capture the NABF female featherweight title.

Since losing to Hardy, Vincent, 39, has racked up a five fight win streak. She majority decisioned Calixto Silgado in her last bout. She memorably crashed Hardy’s Bellator 185 weigh-in.

Both fighters are promising another action packed bout.
