ONE Championship releases official 2019 schedule

Asian MMA organization ONE Championship released their official 2019 events schedule at their press conference in Tokyo, Japan.

“I am thrilled to announce the first 24 of 30 events of our busy 2019 schedule at ONE Championship,”  ONE Championship CEO and chairman Chatri Sityodtong said in a press release. “In addition to the first 24 live events planned for all sports fans in Asia, there will be at least 6 ONE Warrior Series events that will continue to showcase the absolute best in martial arts, delivered by our martial arts superheroes. Of course, all of our live events will be available on the ONE Super App. 2018 isn’t over yet and we still have a lot of great stuff planned but 2019 is already shaping up to be an amazing year for us.”

The 2019 highlights include stops in Tokyo on Mar. 31, Beijing on June 7, and Seoul on Dec. 20.

Several ONE champions and fighters were also in attendance, including atomweight champion Angela Lee, heavyweight champ Brandon Vera, strawweight champion Yoshitaka Naiko, Mei Yamaguchi, and former lightweight titleholder Shinya Aoki.

28 June – Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

2 August – Manila, Philippines

6 September – Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam

11 October – Tokyo, Japan

26 October – Jakarta, Indonesia

9 November – Singapore

22 November – Shanghai, China

6 December – Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

20 December – Seoul, South Korea

ONE Championship is currently preparing for ONE: Beyond the Horizon, scheduled for Sept. 8 in Shanghai, China, followed by ONE: Conquest of Heroes in Jakarta, Indonesia on Sept. 22.
